President Murmu Completes Odisha Visit, Highlights State’s Heritage and Development Initiatives

Bhubaneswar, Aug 5: President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday concluded her three-day visit to Odisha, returning to New Delhi after a series of official programmes and visits that highlighted the state’s cultural heritage, spiritual traditions, and progress in education.

During her visit, President Murmu inaugurated Jagadguru Kripalu University in Cuttack and participated in engagements across the state, including visits to important religious and cultural sites in Ganjam district.

On her final day, the President offered prayers at a Shiva temple near the Army Air Defence College in Golabandha before travelling to Bhubaneswar and departing for the national capital on a special Indian Air Force aircraft.

The visit reflected President Murmu’s continued engagement with Odisha and her focus on connecting with the state’s traditions, communities, and development initiatives.

Her journey also highlighted Odisha’s rich cultural legacy and the importance of preserving heritage while advancing education and growth opportunities.

Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Director General of Police Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, and senior officials were present at Biju Patnaik International Airport to bid farewell to the President.

The three-day visit strengthened the bond between the President and Odisha, showcasing the state’s heritage, educational progress, and aspirations for future development.
