India-Taiwan Connectivity Gets Boost as EVA Air Announces Direct Delhi-Taipei Flights

New Delhi, Aug 5: Air connectivity between India and Taiwan is set to strengthen with Taiwan-based EVA Air announcing a new nonstop service between Delhi and Taipei from December 1, 2026, opening new opportunities for business, tourism, education, and cultural exchange.

The new route will operate five days a week using Airbus A330-300 aircraft, making EVA Air the only Taiwan-based airline to provide nonstop passenger services between India and Taiwan.

The flights will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, offering travellers a faster and more convenient connection between the two destinations.

EVA Air said the new service comes at a time when economic cooperation between India and Taiwan is expanding in key sectors such as manufacturing, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and technology.

The direct flight service is expected to benefit business travellers, students, researchers, and tourists by reducing travel time and improving access between the two markets.

The airline also highlighted that passengers from Indian cities will be able to connect through Delhi to Taipei and onward destinations across Asia and North America through EVA Air’s global network and partnerships.

Industry experts believe the new air link could support stronger trade and investment ties between India and Taiwan while promoting tourism and people-to-people exchanges.

The launch of the Delhi-Taipei route reflects the growing importance of India’s aviation sector and its role in strengthening international connectivity. Improved air links are expected to contribute to economic activity by supporting business travel, tourism growth, and cross-border cooperation.
