Ahmedabad, Aug 6: More than 10,000 trees have been planted across Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Gujarat as part of a green initiative aimed at promoting environmental awareness and creating cleaner, greener learning spaces.
The plantation drive has been carried out across ITI campuses in the state, encouraging students and staff to actively participate in environmental conservation efforts.
The initiative highlights the importance of increasing green cover, improving campus environments and building awareness among young learners about sustainable practices.
Officials said the programme is not only focused on planting trees but also on developing a culture of environmental responsibility among students who will become part of the future workforce.
The plantation efforts are expected to contribute to cleaner surroundings, improved air quality and greater ecological balance while supporting the state’s broader sustainability goals.
Through such initiatives, Gujarat’s ITIs are combining skill development with environmental responsibility, creating campuses that promote both learning and sustainability.
