New Delhi, Nov 27: India continues to prioritise the fight against childhood malnutrition, recognising it as a critical public health goal. In line with this national priority, Amway India, a leading company supporting health and wellbeing, partnered with Nourishing Schools Foundation under its flagship nutrition program, Power of 5, to organize healthy living initiatives through fun, interactive learning activities for students at an affordable private school in New Delhi. The event celebrated childhood and promoted nutrition, hygiene, and healthy living through engaging activities.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rajneesh Chopra, Managing Director, Amway India, said, “Every child deserves the foundation of good nutrition and the opportunity to grow strong and healthy for a better tomorrow. Recognising this, India has been strengthening its nutrition delivery systems and raising community awareness through initiatives such as Poshan Abhiyaan and Mission Saksham Anganwadi. At Amway, we believe nutrition education must start early and be rooted in practical learning. Through our Power of 5 program, we work to help children and their caregivers understand the importance of balanced diets, hygiene, and healthy habits. This is not just about celebrating childhood; it’s about reaffirming our collective responsibility to nurture every child’s potential.”
The initiative focused on promoting the importance of nutrition, hygiene, and healthy living among children through interactive, engaging sessions. As part of the initiative, volunteers, including distributors/Amway Business Owners (ABOs) and employees, joined children to prepare nutritious meals such as fruit salads, sprouts chaat, and healthy sandwiches. A collaborative painting activity followed, encouraging children to creatively express their understanding of hygiene and nutrition. The event also featured drawing competitions, role-playing, and short speeches to help children build confidence while learning about health and sanitation.
Adding to this Archana Sinha, Co-founder, Nourishing Schools Foundation, said, “We’re proud to partner with Amway India to make nutrition and hygiene education both fun and impactful for children. Interactive activities like these help embed essential health messages in ways that truly resonate. Through the Power of 5 program, our shared goal is to empower school children with knowledge that can transform children’s health and future.”
Amway India’s Power of 5 program, launched in 2018, is dedicated to combating childhood malnutrition by raising community awareness on the importance of micronutrients, hygiene, and healthy eating. To date, the program has reached over 7,30,000 individuals, including more than 100,000 children, across India. The celebration in New Delhi reinforces Amway’s ongoing commitment to supporting Government and community initiatives aimed at eradicating malnutrition and promoting holistic child development.
