Solarworld Energy Solutions Strengthens Integrated Solar and Storage Offering with Three New Product Launches

Mumbai, 24 October 2026: Solarworld Energy Solutions Limited today announced the launch of three new products at REI Expo 2026: lithium iron phosphate home energy storage batteries from 1.28 kWh to 5.12 kWh, the SWPCS2500 2,500 kVA central power conversion system under joint branding with Belectriq, and AQUILA bifacial G12 modules of up to 715 Wp. The launches reflect the company’s shift from solar EPC and module manufacturing towards a business built on both generation and storage, serving homes, commercial and industrial users, and utility-scale projects. The products are on display at the company’s booth (B569, Hall 11) at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida.

The launches cover the three points where a solar and storage project is built: the module that generates power, the power conversion system that feeds it to the grid, and the battery that stores it. The home batteries are aimed at households adopting rooftop solar under PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, which targets one crore households. For larger applications, Solarworld offers liquid-cooled battery energy storage systems, including a 125 kW / 261.24 kWh system for commercial and industrial users and a 5,015 kWh container for utility and industrial use.

Home energy storage batteries: bringing storage to the retail customer

Solarworld has introduced lithium-ion battery packs for home energy storage in three sizes, designed for households that want backup power and better use of rooftop solar.

• Three models: SW12100 (12.8 V, 1.28 kWh), SW24100 (25.6 V, 2.56 kWh) and SW51100 (51.2 V, 5.12 kWh), each with 100 Ah LFP cells
• Suited to home inverters, UPS, and solar plus storage systems
• Battery management system with over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, short-circuit and temperature protection
• Certified to IS 16270, IEC 62619 or UL 1973, and UN 38.3, with a 5-year product warranty

SWPCS2500 central PCS: power conversion for large solar and storage projects

Developed under joint branding with Belectriq, the SWPCS2500 is a centralised power conversion system for utility-scale solar and storage projects.

• Rated 2,500 kVA, with a maximum AC power of 2,750 kVA and a maximum DC voltage of 1,500 V
• Efficiency of up to 99%, using a three-level topology
• Operates in both grid-connected and off-grid modes, with RS485, CAN and Ethernet communication
• Air and liquid cooling, with an IP55 control cabin

AQUILA bifacial G12 modules: higher output for utility and commercial projects

The AQUILA G12 series (650 to 715 Wp) uses N-Type TOPCon bifacial cells and is made in India by Solarworld’s subsidiary, ZNShine Solarworld Private Limited.

• Module efficiency of up to 23.02%, with 16BB cell design and a glass-to-glass bifacial build
• IEC certified that BIS approved and ALMM listed
• 12-year product warranty and 25-year performance warranty
• Lower temperature coefficient of -0.29% per degree Celsius, IP68 junction box and PID resistant construction

The company manufactures solar modules and BESS at its facilities in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, and is setting up a 2.4 GW solar cell plant in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh, with Rays Power Infra Limited.
