Punjab & Sind Bank Organises Leadership, Expansion and Sector-Focused Initiatives Across Tricity

Chandigarh, Feb 13: Punjab & Sind Bank organised a series of strategic engagements and initiatives across Panchkula, Chandigarh, and Mohali, reinforcing its commitment to leadership alignment, operational efficiency, network expansion, employee welfare, and sector-focused banking support.

A key highlight of the visit was the Mega Townhall Meeting held at Indradhanush Auditorium, Panchkula, under the leadership of Shri Swarup Kumar Saha, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of the Bank. Conducted on the theme “One Team, One Voice, One Vision,” the Townhall brought together senior leadership and officers from across regions and verticals. The interaction served as a platform to review performance, communicate strategic priorities, and strengthen organisational alignment.

As part of its operational transformation initiatives, the Bank inaugurated PSB Connect – CASA Account Processing Centre at Sector 17-B, Chandigarh. The centralised processing centre has been established to streamline CASA account opening, reduce turnaround time, and enhance processing efficiency. By centralising routine processes, branches will be better positioned to focus on customer acquisition, relationship management, and deposit mobilisation, particularly across urban and semi-urban markets.

Further strengthening its physical presence, the Bank inaugurated a new branch at Airport Road, Mohali — a rapidly developing commercial and residential hub. The branch will cater to retail customers, MSMEs, and emerging business segments, offering a comprehensive suite of banking products and digital-enabled services to support local economic growth.

In line with its commitment to employee engagement and workplace well-being, the Bank also inaugurated PSB Care Nest, a dedicated childcare and early learning facility aimed at supporting working parents and promoting a healthy work-life balance.

In a key sector-focused initiative, the Bank also inaugurated the PSB Centre of Excellence for the Food & Agro Processing Sector at Sector 17-B, Chandigarh. The Centre will function as a specialised support platform for agri-entrepreneurs, food processing units, and allied industries. It will provide assistance in project appraisal, credit facilitation, advisory services, and access to customised banking solutions, aligning with the growing significance of agro-based industries in regional and national economic development.

The programmes were attended by Shri Vivek Srivastava, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Chandigarh, along with senior executives of the Bank and other distinguished guest
