Amity University Hosts ‘Tehzeeb aur Tyohar’ workshop, to celebrate festive elegance, etiquette and creativity

Amity Finishing School, Amity University Noida campus organised ‘Tehzeeb aur Tyohar’, an engaging festive workshop celebrating etiquette, personal styling and creative expression.

The workshop comprised of three sessions- ‘Image Management & Accessorising – Clothes & Accessories That Bling’, by Ms. Sareena Bhardwaj, which explored festive dressing and accessorising.  ‘Table Décor & Styling’ by Ms. Nikita Sinhal, highlighting creative styling, colour coordination and elegant table arrangements, and a session on ‘Dining Etiquette – Marigold & Malas’ by Ms. Roshi Kapoor, which focused on dining manners and the art of gracious entertaining.

Motivating the students, Ms. Jaishree Chauhan, Vice President, Amity Finishing School, stated, “The students have made a commendable effort. Festivals are made special by the people who bring them to life. While knowledge opens doors, success in life depends on the ability to stand out through confidence, effective communication, interpersonal skills and the way we connect with others. These soft skills are often as important as academic qualifications in shaping one’s professional journey.”

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Eeshani Saraswat, Head of Institution & Deputy Director, Amity Finishing School, said, ‘Tehzeeb aur Tyohar’ is an initiative to equip students with essential life skills, from personal styling and dining etiquette to creative expression and gracious hosting. Through such experiential learning opportunities, we aim to nurture confidence, cultural awareness and social grace, empowering students to make a lasting impression in both personal and professional settings.”

A festive product exhibition was also organised, showcasing products for Diwali décor, clothes, accessories and other items, suited to the festive season, adding to the event’s celebratory spirit. The workshop provided a platform for participants to explore the finer aspects of personal presentation, hospitality and festive aesthetics, while encouraging creativity, confidence and cultural appreciation.
