BusinessK Puspa05 Nov 2026

Nov 05: The festive season is a popular time to bring home a new car, and for buyers considering electric mobility, there are several factors to weigh beyond the initial price. Driving range, charging access, cabin comfort, technology and long-term ownership costs can all influence the decision.

Electric SUVs now offer a wider choice of battery options, features and price points, making it easier for buyers to find a vehicle suited to their daily commute and occasional longer journeys. From the range and ownership benefits of the Kia Syros EV to the everyday practicality of the Tata Punch.ev, here are four electric SUVs worth considering this Diwali.

  1. Kia Syros EV

The Kia Syros EV is engineered to make electric mobility practical for varied driving needs, whether navigating daily city commutes or heading out on longer journeys. Complementing its impressive range capabilities is best-in-class second-row convenience in its segment, ensuring enhanced comfort and practicality for all occupants. The 42 kWh variant offers an ARAI-certified MIDC range of 443 km, while the 51.4 kWh Extended Range variant delivers an impressive 526 km, becoming the first in its segment to cross the 500 km mark. Both variants offer ample range for everyday mobility and outstation travel, with the Extended Range option providing additional flexibility for longer journeys.

Complementing its range capabilities, the Syros EV supports DC fast charging, 10% to 80% in approximately 39 minutes using a 100 kW charger. Kia further strengthens the ownership experience through its K-Charge ecosystem, offering access to over 23,500 public charging points nationwide via the MyKia app. Its EV support infrastructure includes 125 dealership DC fast chargers, over 275 EV-ready workshops and more than 900 customer touchpoints across 400 cities, making both everyday commutes and long-distance travel more convenient.

The Syros EV is backed by one of the industry’s strongest ownership propositions, led by a 15-year, unlimited-kilometre Lifetime High Voltage Battery Warranty, complemented by the Battery-as-a-Service programme, with prices starting at INR 7.99 lakh and battery payments from INR 3.3/km. Further strengthening customer confidence, Kia’s industry-best Assured Buyback Programme offers a residual value of up to 70%. Together, these initiatives make the switch to electric mobility more affordable, assured and worry-free.
